/template
configurationSave this server's roles and channels, and put them back later.
What it does
Use it to save the roles and channels of the server as they are now, and to recreate what is missing later. It can also compare a saved template with the server and list what went away.
Applying a template only creates what is missing. It never deletes anything, and whatever you added since is left as it is.
Example
/template applyTemplate: Before the rework
Would recreate 2 role(s) and 5 channel(s). Nothing has been changed.
Nothing is deleted
Applying only creates what is missing. Anything added since the template was saved is left exactly as it is.
Example reply in English, the preview before anything is changed. The numbers depend on your server.
Good to know
- You need the Manage Server permission. Replies are only visible to you.
- Apply shows what it would do and changes nothing until you run it again with confirm.
- Saving records the roles, categories, text and voice channels, their topics and per-channel permissions. You can leave any part out. Saving a template with the same name replaces the old one.
- Role permissions are recorded but not granted back on apply, so a role that had Administrator does not get it again without somebody deciding to.
- The compare option checks by id, so a channel you deleted and recreated by hand counts as missing.
